Configuration Menu - 2100 Series (Descriptions)

In most applications only a few, if any, configuration changes will be necessary.  Following is a description of the configuration settings and their functions:
Configuration Number Location Number Name Default Value Description
C000 L010 Off-Peak Method of Charge Control 5 Sets the method of brick core charging to be used during off-peak (charge) periods. Heater is configured for automatic charge control, which is a value of five (5). To utilize manual charge control, change the value to six (6)
C001 L012 Start Brick Core Charge Set Point 60 If utilizing automatic charge control as set in C000, this value indicates the outdoor temperature at which the heater will start charging.
C002 L013 Full Brick Core Charge Set Point 20 If utilizing automatic charge control as set in C000, this value indicates the outdoor temperature at which the heater will target a full core charge.
C003 L020 Power Line Carrier (PLC) Channel Selection 3 If using PLC communication, this setting must match the channel setting in the Steffes PLC transmitting device.  A value of zero indicates power line carrier communication is disabled.
C004 L035 Optional Controls Configuration 154 Notifies the unit when Time Clock Module or Outdoor Sensor are being utilized.
Value Configuration Description

154

No Time Clock Module/Utilizing PLC or Manual Charge Control

155

No Time Clock Module/Outdoor Sensor Wired to the Heater

158

Time Clock Module/Manual Charge Control

159

Time Clock Module/Outdoor Sensor Wired to the Heater

C005 L036 Control Switch Configuration 0 If utilizing power line carrier control, the time clock module, line voltage control, or Low Voltage Peak control switches that close for Peak times, this value should be zero.  For all other applications, this value should be one (1).
C006 L037 Output Control Configuration 6 This configuration MUST be set to a value of six (6) for all 2100 Series room heating units.
C007 L043 Charge Factor 30 This configuration should be set to a value of thirty (30) in most cases. Higher numbers indicate more aggressive charging for Algorithms 4, 5, 6, and others that use Sensorless Charging. See C000 above.
C010 L048 Discharge Air Temperature 90 Sets the minimum discharge air temperature during a heat call. Almost always set at 90°F/32°C, some older heaters may be found at 100°F/38°C and should be set to 90°F/32°C
C011 L000 Room Temperature Setpoint (Home) 70 Do not adjust this setting in this configuration menu, it is handled through the up/down arrow on the display.
C012 L001 Room Temperature Setpoint (Away) 60 If using a device such as the new Steffes Connect Transceiver to reduce the room temperature when the area is unoccupied, this is the setting used by the heater.
C013-C021 L003, L062-L073 Time Clock Module Configuration C013:4, rest:0:00 These configuration settings are used to configure the peak control times when utilizing the optional Time Clock Module.  Refer to the installation and configuration instructions included with the module for more information.
