Risk of fire. Violation of the clearance requirements can cause improper operation of the equipment. Maintain the placement and clearance requirements specified.

Minimum Clearances

Top = 4"

Front & Grill = 15"

Sides = 2", see NOTE on Right Side.

Back = 1½"

There are minimum clearances that must be maintained when choosing a location. These areas surrounding the heater must be kept open and free of debris. The back clearance is provided by the wall support bracket or by the security base (120V Only). DO NOT place objects of any kind on top of the heater. The heater may be recessed into a wall; however, access to the heater's front panel and grill MUST NOT be obstructed or enclosed and all clearance requirements MUST be maintained.

NOTE: A clearance of 12" is recommended on the right of heater. If there is less than a 12" clearance, a remote room temperature sensor is recommended to ensure accurate room temperature sensing. The 12" clearance also allows space for hinging the right side panel open for servicing.

Placement

The heater can be placed on an interior or an exterior wall. Ideal placement is along an interior wall, adjacent to an exterior wall. To find the best location for the heater, consider the following:

NOTE: Special requirements must be considered if placing the system in a garage or other area where combustible vapors may be present. Consult local, state, and national codes and regulations to ensure proper installation.
