The optional remote room temperature sensor provides highly accurate room temperature information to Steffes 2100, 2000, Quantum, and/or 1000 series room units and can be used as the Indoor Temperature Sensor on Transceivers with Steffes Connect. It is recommended to use the optional remote room temperature sensor in applications where the right side panel has less than a 12" clearance or where the right side of the heater is exposed to abnormal temperature conditions such as drafts from a door, window, or staircase. It also provides more even heat distribution in an area where more than one heater is installed.
Each Steffes room unit that will be controlled using a remote room sensor must have its own remote temperature sensing thermistor. The remote room temperature sensor is available in single or multiple heater configuration. See Ordering Information below.
The remote room temperature sensor can be utilized as a freeze protection sensor with Comfort Plus systems (3100 and 4100) if this feature is available from the power company.
