Part 27 Description - 4100 Series

Proper brick loading is extremely important to the operation of the Steffes heating system.

Heater must NOT be operated unless ALL brick is loaded. Operating the heater without all of the brick installed will cause significant damage to the heater and/or a hazardous condition.

Bricks are specific for each type of heating system (i.e. S Series, EXT Series, 2100 Series, Comfort Plus, ThermElect) DO NOT substitute!

Steam may exit the heater when first operated if the brick was stored outside or in a damp location before being installed.

Impurities in the air will be pulled into and through the heater; however, will NOT contaminate the brick. In the event that paint fumes or other organic substances are pulled into the brick core of the heater, they will be burned away in a short period of time.

Brick is a very dense brick consisting primarily of iron oxide.

Life expectancy of Steffes ETS brick is estimated in excess of 50 years.
