Heater Dip Switches Configurations - 2000 Series

Dip Switch #1

Invert Peak Signal

This DIP Switch setting is used to match the room heating unit’s switch for "Charging" to the configuration of the power company’s signaling device. This allows the installer to invert (reverse) the power company’s switch contact status requirement for controlling purposes. When the switch is in the "OFF" position, a switch contact closure in the power company’s signaling device will initiate an on-peak (elements disabled) period. When the switch is in the "ON" position, an open switch in the power company’s signaling device will initiate an on-peak period.

NOTE:If the Steffes Power Line Carrier (PLC) control option is utilized, this DIP switch must be in the "OFF" position. If using a Theben time clock for control purposes, this DIP switch should be in the "ON" position.
