The Steffes Power Line Carrier (PLC) Transmitter is used to communicate information through the existing power lines to an unlimited number of Steffes 1000, 2000, and 2100 series room heating units, Comfort Plus systems and other controllable devices incorporating the Steffes PLC receiver. The transmitter must be wired into the line voltage power serving the installation. All devices on the same power company distribution transformer as the transmitter will receive the transmitter's information through the power lines serving the installation and will respond accordingly. This type of wireless communication system can significantly reduce installation costs of off-peak and load management systems by eliminating the need for additional controls and wiring, especially in multiple unit installations and projects such as housing subdivisions, hotels, motels, apartments, condos, etc.
