The variable speed house blower motor has 240VAC (5-pin harness) and 24VAC supplied continuously. All motor control is achieved through low voltage input signals described below.
If the motor does not operate, ensure it has line voltage at the 5-pin harness and then verify that it has 24VAC from both Blue wires to the Red wire in the low voltage harness continuously. Next, 24VAC must be present at one or more of the following:
From | To | Source |
---|---|---|
Blue | White | W/AUX |
Blue | Green | G (Fan Only) |
Blue | Purple | Y2 |
Blue | Pink | Y1 |
If it meets all three of these requirements (240V, 24V Blue to Red, and at least one voltage from the table above) but the motor does not turn, replace the motor.
Verify line voltage and low voltage inputs as described above in "Does Not Operate" section above but additionally the system must have all of the necessary low voltage inputs based on the type of heating or cooling call from the thermostat or forced air zone control panel. This is described in the table below but in general either W/AUX by itself or Y1, Y2, and G together will signal the motor to run at 100% rated air delivery CFM.
