Heater Dip Switches Configurations - 2000 Series

Dip Switch #5

Enable Connection for an External Room Temperature Control Device

This DIP Switch setting enables the blower in the 2000 series heater and the damper in the 1000 series heater to be controlled by a device external to the heater. This signal is sent to the room heating unit via a low voltage wire connected to the orange (room temperature set back) and blue (power) wires in the heater's low voltage wiring harness. These wires can be accessed through the low voltage raceway on the lower back of the heater. When this DIP switch is in the "ON" position, the heater (or several heater's) can be connected to an external device such as a low voltage wall thermostat or other low voltage room temperature control devices. Using an external room temperature control device with the 2000 series heater will allow its blower to operate in HIGH speed only.

NOTE: In all applications where room temperature will be adjusted from the heater's control panel, this DIP switch must be in the "OFF" position.
