A capacitor is required to run with a PSC motor. The size of the capacitor varies depending on the motor. Verify capacitor size by reading the nameplate on the motor.
To test the capacitor, de-energize the heating system. Disconnect the two brown wires from the capacitor and read capacitance across the terminals. Capacitance should read within +/- 10% of capacitor nameplate.
