This is a fumed silica insulation panel that provides superior insulating with a minimum thickness. It is attached to the front galvanized panel. The outer jacket of this material is only to aid in shipping and handling of the panel. In normal operation, this material will develop cracks. This is a normal condition and will not affect the insulating abilities of the material. If the inner formed powder panel is damaged significantly, it MUST be replaced. Significant damage would include, but is not limited to, narrow cracks 1/8" or less and deeper than 1/2" and wide cracks or missing areas greater than 1/8" wide and deeper than 1/4".
