THIS PROCEDURE MUST BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN.
WARNING
HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE: Risk of electric shock. Can cause injury or death. Heater may be connected to more than one branch circuit. Disconnect power to all circuits before servicing.
NOTE: It is recommended that the time clock settings are reviewed prior to installation to ensure they are correct for the application. It they are not, follow the steps in the time clock setting instruction sheet.
Disconnect Power
Disconnect power to ALL branch circuits.
Remove Right Side Panel
Remove the right side panel of the heater to access the heater’s electrical compartment.
Mount Time Clock Bracket
Mount the time clock bracket inside the right side electrical compartment above the heater’s terminal block.
NOTE: There may be pre-drilled holes in the heater for time clock mounting. If so, one of these holes may be used to mount one side of the bracket. If the second hold does not align with the hole in the other side of the time clock bracket, then another may have to be drilled. If there are no pre-drilled holes, then two holes will have to be drilled.
Mount Time Clock
Mount the time clock to the bracket by sliding the top groove on the back of the clock over the bracket. Push down on the bottom front side of the time clock to secure it into place on the bracket.
NOTE: Refer to the wiring diagram included with these instructions for the wire connections described in steps 5 through 8.
Wiring Connections
Wiring connections on the time clock are as follows:
-
One of the black/yellow wires connect to the "L" terminal on the top front side of the time clock.
-
The other black/yellow wire connects to the "N" terminal on the bottom front side of the time clock.
-
The blue and the blue/white wires connect to the "1" and "2" terminal positions of the time clock, in any order.
Connect Blk/Yel Wires
Connect the black/yellow wires from the "L" and the "N" time clock terminals to the F1 and F3 terminal block positions in the heater, in any order.
Crimp Blue/Wht Wire
Crimp the blue/white wire of the time clock to the blue/white wire of the heater’s circuit board low voltage wiring harness.
Crimp Blue Wire
Crimp the blue wire of the time clock to the blue wire of the heater’s circuit board low voltage wiring harness.
Reassemble Heater
Reassemble heater by reversing the disassembly procedure.
Restore Power
Restore power to the heater.
