Single Feed Kit Installation Instructions - 5100 Series

WARNING

HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE: Risk of electric shock. Can cause injury or death. Heater may be connected to more than one branch circuit. Disconnect power to all circuits before servicing.

De-energize System

Disconnect power to all branch circuits of the heating system and remove electrical panel cover.

Loosen Lug Screws

Locate the circuit breakers and loosen all lug screws.

Install Neutral Lug

Remove the existing neutral lug and install the neutral lug provided.

Install Rear Single Feed Plate

Locate rear single feed plate (with insulator) and install as follows:

NOTE: Do NOT remove insulator from rear single feed plate. This insulator protects the circuit from shorting.

Install Single Feed Plate

Locate front single feed plate (no insulator) and install as follows:

Verify Both Single Feed Plates are Seated

Make sure both single feed plates are seated into the lugs. Tighten down all lug screws.

Install one Leg of Power

Install one leg of the main power source wires into each of the top lugs of single feed plates.

Wire the Ground

Wire the ground lead into the ground lug.

Inspect Uninsulated Terminals

Visually inspect all uninsulated live terminals to ensure there is no potential line-to-line and/or line-to-ground short circuits.

Install Electrical Panel Cover

Install electrical panel cover and restore power to the heating system.
