Current Outdoor Temperature

If automatic charge control is being utilized, this location will approximate the current outdoor temperature.  For example:  If "2B" is displayed, the current outdoor temperature is approximately 43 ° F (6.1 ° .  If "24" is displayed, the current outdoor temperature is approximately 36 ° F (2.2 ° C). Reference the Hex Conversion Chart for proper readings.

A value of H80 indicates a system that has not yet received or has lost the outdoor temperature from the powerline carrier transmitting device. If applicable, see Heater Stays in C Mode with PLC flowchart.

NOTE: The accuracy of the outdoor sensor will be affected by heat and cold sources.  Placement of the sensor should be considered during installation as well as sealing the outdoor-to-indoor wire opening to ensure more accurate temperature readings.

If verifying the value on a heater utilizing a direct wired outdoor sensor, press and hold the M button for at least five seconds before taking the reading to ensure accurate feedback.
